I am a student studying Mechanical
Engineering at the University of Louisville.
As of now, I’m taking General Education classes in an effort to get them
out of the way so that I can focus on my major.
In my English 105-01 class, taught by Mr. Matthew Wiles, one of the
requirements for receiving an “A” is to undertake several additional projects
to supplement my learning experience. I
chose the blog option because I enjoy writing informally, and this would help
to develop my style as a writer.
I’m a science and math minded
person who thinks linearly, going from step A to step B while following a
strict set of directions or formulas.
While I can be creative,
analysis isn’t my strong suit. I’m aware
that the two are distinctly separate with creativity entering primarily in
problem solving and fictional writing while analysis comes in at the latter
part of the writing process. I’m by no
means a bad writer, but I’m not a great writer either. Hopefully this will change as I continue this
project.
I’m not a sports oriented person at
all, and I would much rather stay inside and play video games or read a book
than go outside to kick around a ball. I
enjoy such things as reading science fiction and historical fiction, such as
books from the Halo franchise. I also
enjoy thinking about philosophical topics such as the possibility of life after
death and the possibility (or probability) of other intelligent life in the
universe. My religious denomination is
this: agnostic theist.
